Lost Paradises. Spa towns across Europe are confronted with political and economic change. Their architectural heritage is under threat. At the same time, abandoned spa architecture is a prominent topic of "decay photography" (or "ruin porn", as it is put sometimes more bluntly, for example in Siobhan Lyons edited volume on the topic Ruin Porn and the Obsession with Decay (Cham: Palgrave Macmillan, 2018).
