Her research interests lie in the fields of Contemporary German Literature and 19th century German Culture. With regard to the latter, she has published widely on salons and other forms of sociability in the Age of Goethe as well as on the public rituals and festivities, literary journals and prose fiction of the period, and translated James Bowman’s book The Fortune Hunter. A German Prince in Regency England into German. As to the former, she has published several journal articles, a monograph on a number of East German authors in 2007 and the Biography of Klaus Schlesinger in 2011.
